By the Government Decision of 8 August 2019, the form, amount and procedure for providing support to the persons who suffered during the events that took place in Yerevan on 1 to 2 March 2008 were established, as well as the form of the application for the provision of support, the list of documents attached to the application and the procedure for reviewing that application.
In particular:
- it was established that the financing of the support provided is carried out from the funds of the state budget of the Republic of Armenia,
- the persons entitled to it may submit the application for the provision of support in person or through their representative to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia within three years after this Decision enters into force,
- it was stipulated that, taking into account the circumstances established as a result of the comparison and assessment of all the documents received, the authorised body shall adopt one of the following reasoned decisions: to grant the application and provide support, or to reject the application, or to suspend the review of the application. Moreover, it is emphasised that the application is rejected if the applicant's right to receive support is not confirmed,
- if the application is granted by the head of the authorised body, the authorised body shall, within five working days, transfer the support amount to the account number specified by the applicant and opened in a bank in the latter's name.
